SHP Construction & Civil carried out the replacement of the roof on the Road Movements Building at the RAAF Townsville Base. The works included the removal and reinstatement of key boxes and roof mounted services, demolition of roof structure and associated framing, and supply and installation of new roof structure including new steel purlins, connections to existing rafters, new Colorbond metal roof sheeting, capping and fixings, and roof insulation. SHP also supplied and installed new galvanised security cages to all external AC units, and replaced existing drop ceiling system and all existing downpipes and gutters like for like.
