SHP Construction & Civil mobilised teams to manage two remote projects concurrently at the Mount Isa Tafe. The projects consisted of construction of amenities and staff office, and replacement of the roof, both located at Block B within the TAFE. This project involved works in relation to Client supplied amenities demountable including stumping, construction of new covered verandah and PWD ramp, services connection, and painting of exterior walls. This was followed by the demolition of existing amenities including removal and disposal of confirmed asbestos, and the fit out of new staff PWD and staff office including all fixtures, painting, tiling, floor coverings, ceiling, electrical, data and mechanical works. SHP undertook other various renovation works and the extension of the walkway roof and works required for a compliant PWD carpark. These works also took place within an operational facility and SHP scheduled particular elements of the project in order to minimise disruption to the users of the facility.
