SHP Construction & Civil constructed a 14-bay carpark at the QBuild Depot, 9-15 Langton Street, Townsville. This included, stripping and stockpiling of site material, stormwater pits, concrete pavement and base, line marking and bollards, installation of electrical and communications conduit future proofing, and the excavation of trenches for the pressure pipe and gal pipe water main feeds and the irrigation feed / return line to AS 3500 standards. SHP proposed to install a trench and a Class D Grate system as a solution to the safety issues with having excess fall coming in and out of the V drain. This solution made the general surface area much flatter, making traversing the area much safer and making future maintenance of the trench system easier.
